Established in 1990, The Masters Athletics Federation of India (MAFI) operates as an independent autonomous non-government organization.
It is responsible for promoting and organizing competitive events for athletes aged 35 and above, as well as maintaining records and rankings for these athletes.
The MAFI is managed and run by its General Council and Executive Committee based on its constitution and by-laws.
The Masters Athletics Federation of India (MAFI) derives its income from affiliation fees paid by members, entry fees and sponsorship during events.
MAFI is affiliated with Asia Masters Athletics (AMA) and World Masters Athletics (WMA), working towards the betterment of the Master athletes across the globe. MAFI is also acknowledged by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
